Presentación

The Spanish Program for Foreign Students at ADEMA is designed for international students who want to build a solid foundation in Spanish and use the language with confidence in their daily life in Mallorca.

The program is especially aimed at students enrolled in Dentistry, Fine Arts and Human Nutrition who wish to communicate more naturally with classmates, university staff and other people in everyday academic and social contexts.

The course is structured into two independent levels, A1 and A2, following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Each level includes 64 teaching hours, distributed over 16 weeks, with 4 hours per week.

The methodology is communicative and experiential, with a strong focus on real situations: introducing oneself, asking for information, understanding basic texts, speaking in shops or restaurants, moving around the city, talking about health, studies, work, travel and social life.

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by ADEMA.

¿A quién va dirigido?

This program is aimed at international ADEMA students who want to learn or improve their Spanish in order to communicate more confidently in Mallorca and in their academic environment.

The A1 level is designed for students with no previous knowledge of Spanish or with very basic notions of the language. It is especially suitable for students whose first language is not a Romance language and who are approaching Spanish for the first time.

The A2 level is aimed at students who already have basic knowledge of Spanish and are able to communicate in simple situations. Access to this level may require an initial placement test and an oral interview.

Groups are limited to a maximum of 15 participants in order to ensure close follow up and active participation.

Metodología docente innovadora

The program follows a communicative, practical and learner centered methodology. From the first sessions, students are encouraged to use Spanish actively in realistic situations connected with university life, daily routines and social interaction.

Classes combine oral practice, listening comprehension, short reading activities, written tasks, vocabulary work and guided grammar practice. More than 65 percent of class time is devoted to real production and interaction, both oral and written.

The course uses task based learning, pair and group work, adapted authentic materials, audio and video resources, vocabulary maps, digital activities and continuous feedback. Grammar is introduced progressively and always linked to communicative contexts.

The program may be adapted according to the real profile of the group, including students’ nationalities, previous knowledge of Spanish, first languages and specific academic or personal needs.
